Blushing sky

The sky has become brighter and clearer since the lockdown all around the world. Spring evenings with beautiful skies. Hints of oranges, pinks and purples peeking through.

The new normal
The new normal

It is important to help and protect each other. I started making these face masks for myself and experiment a bit with inking and dying the fabric. If I would go outside, I would want to wear a face mask that suits my own style and personality. While doing the embroidery I felt relaxed, it is a way for me to empty out my mind and my daily struggles.

After many questions by my friends and family, I finally decided to take pre-orders for those who are interested. SHOP HERE

Wednesday, April 22nd.
Ever since the whole world went into lockdown, I’ve noticed how clear the sky looks and the smell of fresh air. Something we’re not used to see in big cities.

It was also a little period of where I felt, I needed to go out into the woods, to the mountains and follow the sound of water streams.

Being in quarantine for a while now, I lost track of time. Time flies but days goes slowly. Some days, I stare at my sketchbook with ideas running in my head but not wanting to get out. And on some days one by one, they’re eager to get out.

To keep my hands working, I told myself that I have to do something. It can be random but just something.

When you have a little bucket with paint brush water in front of you. I often ask myself what can you do with that water? The colour changes each time you dip your brush back in. I had a scrap piece of fabric next to me and I just dipped it in. Some

My secret escape
My secret escape

During the time that I made this print, my phone gave me a memory of my photos. It was exactly one year ago of the road trip I made with my friends to the Highlands in Scotland. This year me and my friend wanted to go again but unfortunately things has changed because of you know.

Eversince I came back from Scotland, my drawings has been filled with mountains and trees. Recently I realised that it has been my secret escape. A place where I can ease my mind and just enjoy being myself and breath.

During quarantine I kept ordering new paint colours in different mediums. I’ve heard a lot about the Acrlyla gouache by Holbein and wanted to try it out. I’ve been experimenting with different kinds of paints and techniques to see which works best with me and my mind.
